JP 2017 Update - Day 47 (Last Day)

Today was the last day of Jeremiah Project.  I am officially done with my internship.  This was by far one of the best experiences of my life.  I cannot put into words exactly how much I enjoyed the last 6 weeks.  While there was plenty of exhaustion, tears, laughs, hugs, and drama; I enjoyed every second I was working with the staffers, adult leaders, and students.  As much as I was looking forward to my last day out (solely out of sheer exhaustion and homesickness), I was so heartbroken when I had to turn my receipts over to Todd today.  I never knew that receipts would mean so much to me!  I gave Todd the last thing he needed from me and by 12:30 my work was officially completed.  Now the overachiever in me still has some work I want to complete, but I am done.  When I left, I told Todd how much I enjoyed this.  I made sure he knew that I wanted to do this next year.  He laughed and said ok, I said, "No, I'm being serious.  I want to do this all over again.  If you need any help during the year or with Lead or Journey or literally anything, please let me know.  I loved every second of this."  He smiled and said we would be in touch.  We hugged and my job was done.  I really cannot begin to explain how much I loved working every possible second of every possible day. I served the Lord in ways that I enjoyed and I am so grateful that I had this opportunity to give everything I could to this ministry.

I want to just do a giant shout-out to all the awesome staffers and leaders I got to work with this summer!  I am so grateful I got to know and serve the Lord alongside each of you.  I will never forget the lessons each of you taught me.  Thank you!  Thank you for spending a week or more of your summer to help the students learn more about their relationship with Christ.

I am currently sitting in a coffee shop in Ashburn finishing up my work and then I'm going to dinner at David's house.  I will then officially be home and done with Jeremiah Project for this summer.  I also have to say, I wasn't a coffee person before this summer, but after the last 6 weeks, I love it!

I am getting baptized and becoming a member of King's Cross!  I will become a member of King's Cross on August 13th at 10:15 am.  If you would like to come to witness my baptism, let me know!  I would love it if you came!

Just because JP is over, doesn't mean I am done sharing my life and experiences with you all!  If you would like to stay on updated on my life, shoot me a text, email, or even call me!  I am going to continue these little updates on my life and where I am.  Let me know if you'd like to stay updated on what I am up to!

Thank you all for the love, prayers, and support!  I love you all!
